Activity Description
Itinerary, 5-Day KTM Moto From Ouarzazate :
Day 1: Ouarzazate – Tinghir Via Roses Valley - Dades and Todra Gorges.
- Arrive in Ouarzazate, renowned for its movie studios and iconic film locations. Begin your journey towards Skoura, where the mountain track awaits. Traverse isolated Berber villages, winding around the majestic M’Goun mountain and into the enchanting Roses Valley. Explore the rugged beauty of Dades Canyon before continuing to Tineghir for an overnight stay in a local hotel.
Day 2 : Tinghir - Alnif -Rissani - Merzouga Desert.
- After breakfast, set off for Alnif, journeying through stunning landscapes between the Djbel Sahro and Djbel Ougnat mountains. Alnif is famed for its fossil treasures. Lunch in Alnif before heading to Rissani, capital of the Tafilalet region and ancestral home of Morocco’s royal dynasty. Finally, reach the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga for a night in a comfortable desert camp.
Day 3 : Merzouga - Tafraout - M`Harech
- Today’s adventure takes you to Taouz, following the Paris Dakar track along the Ziz River valley. Traverse the dunes and reach the oasis of Ouzina before encountering the remote village of Ramlia and tackling the challenging terrain of the dry sandy river Rheris. Journey through small mountains to Tafraout for dinner and lodging in a local riad.
Day 4 : M`Harech - Tafraout - Tagounite - Zagora.
- Begin on a dry lake, then venture through the deserted plateau of sand along the Algerian border, known as Dinosaurs Valley for its abundance of dinosaur fossils. Cross a mountain with copper and lead mines before descending to the Draa Valley in Tagounite. Spend the night in Zagora at a local hotel.
Day 5 : Zagoura - Ouarzazate.
- Follow the Draa River, passing picturesque villages and lush date palm groves, a vital source of income for the region. Trace the river Draa to Agdz, then journey across the black mountain to return to Ouarzazate, concluding your unforgettable Sahara motorcycle adventure.
